Captain's guide

How Does This Work?

1Piece Market is a game where One Piece characters have prices. Pick the ones you believe in, watch the episodes, and see your Berries grow.

Five steps

  1. 1

    You get ฿10,000

Every new captain starts with the same pile of Berries. Berries are pretend game money.

  2. 2

    Buy shares of characters

Pick characters you think are about to have a big moment, and buy shares of them.

  3. 3

    New episodes move prices

When a character has a bigger moment than usual, their price goes up. A setback, and it goes down.

  4. 4

Your total goes up and down

Your Berries plus what your shares are worth right now. Good picks make it grow.

  5. 5

    Climb the rankings

The captain with the biggest total ranks highest, worldwide and in your private leagues.

Where does a character's price come from?

Four simple rules. Tap Why this price? on any character to see them for that character.

  1. 1

    Base value

Every character starts with a normal value based partly on popularity and long-term importance.

  2. 2

    Episodes

    The big one

Unexpected big moments can move the price.

  3. 3

    Players

    A little

If lots of different players buy or sell, the market can move a little.

Example voyage

Betting on Luffy

  1. You start with: ฿10,000 in Berries.

  2. You buy: 2 Luffy shares at ฿1,500 each. That costs ฿3,000, so you have ฿7,000 left in Berries.

  3. An episode airs: Luffy has a much bigger moment than usual, and his price rises to ฿1,650. Your 2 shares are now worth ฿3,300.

Your total

฿7,000Berries฿3,300shares=฿10,300

That's +฿300 more than you started with. If Luffy had a rough episode instead, his price could fall and your total would drop.

These numbers are just an example. Real prices are on the market.

What is a share?

A share is a small piece of a character's listing in this game. The more shares you have, the more your total changes when that character's price moves. You can sell shares anytime at the current price.

How do prices move?

Mostly with new episodes. Characters who mattered get a score from −10 to +10, compared with what's normal for them. Each point moves the price 1.5%, up to 15% in one episode. Prices don't move at random, and no AI decides them.

How do rankings work?

Everyone is ranked by their total. If Captain A has ฿12,000 and Captain B has ฿10,000, Captain A ranks higher. Totals use today's prices, so rankings change after every episode.

What are leagues?

Private rankings for you and your friends. Make a league, share its invite code, and see who picks the best characters in your crew. Your total is the same everywhere.

Just a game

  • Berries are pretend. They have no real-world value and can't be bought or cashed out.
  • Shares here are game pieces. You don't own any part of a real character or show.
  • 1Piece Market is a fan-made game and isn't connected to the creators of One Piece.

Quick questions

Is this real money?

No. Berries are only for this game. You can't buy them, win them or cash them out.

Why did a price change?

Usually because of an episode update. Each update lists exactly which characters moved and why, and the latest one is on the market page. Smaller moves come from market demand, and after a quiet episode temporary hype eases back toward normal. Every move shows up under Recent Market Moves on the character's page.

Why doesn't Luffy go up every episode?

Luffy is already expected to be important. Normal Luffy moments are already built into his base value. His price moves more when something unusually important happens.

Does a character lose value just because they aren't in an episode?

No. Missing an episode doesn't automatically lower the price. Only temporary hype slowly fades back toward the character's normal value.

Hype cools down

Slowly

If nothing new happens, temporary hype slowly moves back toward the character's normal value.

Does buying make a price go up?

Not on its own. Your trade happens at the current price, and nothing moves instantly. Now and then the game looks at buying and selling across lots of captains, and if many want the same character, its price can rise a little. One person can't move the whole market by themselves. The game looks at wider activity.

How often do prices change?

Mostly after new episodes. Between episodes, prices can drift a little with what captains do, but never by much.

Who decides how much a character moves?

A person on the 1Piece Market team watches the episode and gives the characters who mattered a score. Not a robot, and not chance.

Can my total go down?

Yes. If your characters have a rough episode, your total drops. Hold on, or try a different pick. It's all part of the adventure.
